Doktasend is a healthcare support platform that allows people in the diaspora to sponsor and manage healthcare services for loved ones in Nigeria. It includes monitoring, virtual consultations, prescription deliveries, and emergency services.
Doktasend is currently a web-based application. It can be accessed via mobile web or desktop. It is not integrated with the Dokta app, though recipients may use the Dokta app separately for doctor consultations.
Diaspora users (Sponsors) use the platform to register, pay for, and monitor the health of loved ones (Recipients) in Nigeria. Local agents, nurses, doctors, labs, and pharmacies use it to provide and record healthcare services.
Doktasend services are currently available only in Nigeria, where verified healthcare providers, agents, and facilities are registered on the platform.
Doktasend provides services like daily check-ins, weekly calls, monthly nurse visits, lab testing, prescription renewals, drug delivery, virtual consultations, ambulance services, and more.
Sponsors receive regular reports via email (daily, weekly, or monthly) and can view detailed summaries, vitals, visit notes, and test results in their online account.
